With significant changes taking place in Sri Lanka Basketball, Sri Lanka Basketball Federation (SLBF) is looking for a dynamic CEO to drive the FIBA's strategic agenda of Basketball in Sri Lanka.
The Organization
Sri Lanka Basketball Federation (SLBF) is the National body, which governs the sport of Basketball in Sri Lanka, affiliated to International Basketball Federation, FIBA and National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka as a National Federation of Olympic Sport. SLBF is governed by Sports Law No: 25 of 1973.
The Role
With significant changes taking place, SLBF is looking for a dynamic CEO to drive the strategic agenda of FIBA Basketball in Sri Lanka.
Qualification & Competencies
Tertiary qualification in either Sport Development & Management or Business preferably with BSc or MBA or both.
Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, proven ability to achieve funding projects and implement policy changes.
Strong work tenure in Corporate, Government, National or International Sports Bodies at senior management levels.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with diverse management constituents.
Excellent organisational and project management skills
Commercial and business competencies including financial management.
Candidates who have held a senior leadership roles in either sport development, not for profit and/or business.
Diploma in Advance Sports Management Certificate (ASMC) conducted by NOCSL will be an added qualification.
This position is a Non-Elective Position to administer Sri Lanka Basketball and shall report to President and Secretary General of SLBF. The CEO shall possess, a high degree of integrity, outstanding team leadership with strategic vision, marketing & financial acumen, flexible & negotiation skills, presentation & business promotion abilities.
